Keewaydin Environmental Education Center (KEEC) - Employment Opportunities

Keewaydin Environmental Education Center—2009 Job description and salary.

Instructors teach and work with small groups of students grades 4-8 in a 4-night, 5-day intensive residential program focusing on human and non-human communities. Responsibilities include leading field investigations and evening programs in natural science, local history, human impact, and land-use. Staff eat with the students in the dining hall, help them with jobs and occasionally spend a week with them in the cabins.

We work a five day week, with some time off each day. Instructors will have two meals off a week. Staff live in simple, wood cabins near the lake when they are not leading a cabin.

Dates: April 19th through June 5th.

Salary:
$ 320/week, room and board included
$ 5/week extra for each season returning
$ 35/week for cabin duty

All staff are required to have First-Aid and CPR (may be provided during staff week, depending on need).
